Almonds Feature Image

I keep hearing how great almonds are for you. I always have! Even from a young age, when I would look up “how to get abs” (LOL I know) there would be a section on exercises and a section on diet. In the diet section, 9 times out of 10 almonds would be on the list of things to eat if you wanted to get abs. I used to think they would magically solve my issues and if I ate them every day I would be sure to have a flat stomach by summer.

Biggest lie the Internet ever told me

While they may not miraculously give you abs, they’re still a great and healthy snack to incorporate into your regular diet. The only problem is, how do you eat them so often without getting tired of them. OH do I have news for you. There are many ways to slip them into your eating habits without getting absolutely sick of the taste. Let me list them out for you:

1. Cocoa Powdered Almonds With Craisins

Oof, this has to be one of my favorites. This was my absolute go-to in high school. I’d have my little baggie with half cocoa powdered almonds and craisins. It’s sweet, crunchy, and healthy.

2. Wasabi Flavored Almonds With Baby Bell Cheese

If you’re feeling spicy, try the wasabi flavored almonds. They’re AMAZING. If you couple them with a little Baby Bell cheese you’ll have something to help break up the intense wasabi taste. Perfect combo!

3. Chopped On A Salad

It’s always nice to have a little crunch in your salad. It looks pretty, adds texture, and is a healthy addition to your greenery. I mean I really love to have almonds and craisins on my salad with a little Italian dressing, beautiful taste.

4. Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds

This really doesn’t need much of an explanation. If you have a sweet tooth and are looking for a way for you to enjoy almonds this is perfect for you. Dark chocolate is also pretty good for you in moderation, so if you pick out the serving size of the chocolate covered boys you’ll be set.

5. Salted Almonds With A Side Of Fruit

Here again we have a nice little sweet and savory vibe going. Salted almonds aren’t my favorite, but they do make a good combination to a little bowl of berries. The salt and sweetness from the berries makes it easy to hit that daily serving of almonds.

If you were concerned before about how to better incorporate almonds into your diet I hope you found some true inspiration from this post. There’s a variety  for my readers who crave the more savory and for those who have a sweet tooth.

The only problem is if you’re allergic to nuts…and at that point I assume you know not to eat almonds in any capacity, so I’m sorry this wasn’t helpful. But I’m sure you knew that going into this article right? 😉

PLEASE post some sick ways to eat almonds in the comments that I didn’t mention, because I know that there are plenty more where that came from. Oh and go ahead and subscribe and share this article with your nutrition challenged friends.
